| The Structural Management Program® began as a vision based on the personal injuries and experiences of Dr. Tim Maggs. Dr. Maggs, has been in practice for 29 years focusing on sports medicine and structural biomechanics. During this time, he worked 4 years in the strength and conditioning department of the New York Giants and was a consultant to the Chicago Bulls strength department. He has developed The Structural Management® Network, a group of doctors trained in The Structural Management® Program. The Structural Management® Program is the only program that addresses the biomechanical Musculoskeletal problems, that plague not only our athletic community, the work place, but society as a whole. It has a proven method of treatment. In The Structural Management® Network the body is evaluated with a comprehensive examination from a structural biomechanical point of view. The patient is then provided with a corrective program designed to maximise and extend their active life. This could be running a marathon or playing with the grandchildren. Why do we all need The Structural Management® Program? Between the ages of thirty and fifty, and sometimes sooner, our bodies begin to break down. Why does this happen? Repetitive activities and injuries shorten muscles and stiffen or lock joints! This also includes activities that we may not consider particularly physical. Musculoskeletal injuries are almost always cumulative, not a condition that began last Thursday. When muscles shorten they not only become weaker and less efficient but are more prone to injuries and soon develop trigger points. Nutrients don’t readily reach these muscles and the byproducts of muscle activity, such as lactic acid, have problems getting out. The result is a muscle that is like a dry dirty sponge. The joints of the body stiffen, loose motion, and we lose body balance. The predictable outcome is a scientific law in medicine called Wolfe’s Law. This law states: As bones are subjected to stress demands in weight bearing posture they will alter their shape accordingly, shipping calcium salts into the area to “shore up” the weakened areas. This is also called osteoarthritis, the predictable end. Davis’s Law states that Soft Tissue (muscles & ligaments) will model or shape according to imposed demands. This means loss of muscle length and shape. The result is a loss of flexibility, strength, symmetrical balance, and TISSUE TOLERANCE. Less tissue Tolerance equals easier injuries. Sounds like the Musculoskeletal aging. The Structural Management® Program determines your specific biomechanical problems and patterns of break down with The Structural Fingerprint® Exam. Each of us is different and the same program is not appropriate for all individuals. Advanced technology, such as cold lasers, joint mobilization, the Maggs Muscle Management® Program, rehabilitative exercise programs, proprioceptive activities, custom orthotics, and nutritional recommendations (if desired), are all integral parts of The Structural Management® Program. They are all designed to increase your structural health, preserve your structural integrity and increase your tissue tolerance. Don’t wait until you break down! Macy’s Structural Management Center is committed to finding your Structural Fingerprint®, getting you out of the structural hole that you are in and determine the appropriate program designed to stop or prevent this continued breaking down. We encourage you to take a proactive rather than the reactive approach that has been such a dismal failure prior to The Structural Management® Program. This is why many are calling The Structural Management® Network "The Future of Sportsmedicine" To find out how you can get The Structural Fingerprint® Examination Click on that button |
